Today is my Grand Mothers birthday! Any body who knows me will tell you that my biggest heroine of all time is my Grand Mother. Grandma Lewis is one of the forerunners of my culture and a major part of black history. She is the first black woman in the country to get her PHD in the Arts. She is also a key educator, art collector and writer, documenting the history of revolutionary and historic black, African and Asian art through out time.
